Norwegian Crown Prince Visits NBIM

Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon Magnus visited NBIM’s Oslo office Monday. He was given an introduction to the investment activities and ownership work of the Government Pension Fund Global. The visit was the first to NBIM by a member of the Norwegian royal family.

The crown princeThe Crown Prince met with Yngve Slyngstad, chief executive officer of NBIM. He was given a tour of the Oslo office, including the trading floor, before attending presentations of the fund's governance structure, the management organisation and fund results, and separate presentations of the fixed income and real estate investment areas by Olav Bø, Global Head of Fixed Income and Karsten Kallevig, CIO Real Estate. The Crown Prince also met with NBIM’s Deputy CEO Trond Grande, Chief Risk Officer Jan Thomsen and Anne Kvam, Global Head of the ownership policy department.
