Stephen Hirsch appointed Deputy CEO of NBIM

Mr. Hirsch is currently COO at Norges Bank Investment Management, NBIM, which manages the Government Pension Fund – Global and the bulk of Norges Bank`s foreign exchange reserves.

The new Deputy CEO joined the staff of Norges Bank in 1998 as Senior Portfolio Manager in the equity team. He was later appointed Deputy Head of Equity and COO of the equity team, before taking the position as COO at NBIM in March 2008. 

Mr. Hirsch holds an MBA in business from the University of Minnesota and a BA in accounting from University St. Thomas.
